Do You Want to Know More About the Annulment Process?

In the Diocese of Scranton, the annulment process is now more “user friendly” than you might expect, and there is no longer a processing fee.  Please contact your pastor or the Diocesan Tribunal Office (570-207-2246) to begin a conversation.  It is possible to get clear answers to these questions and to renew your connection with the Church.

Ministry of Hospitatily

MINISTRY OF HOSPITALITY

A Hospitality Ministry is needed in our parish with the help of members from both churches. This ministry is needed for the several (and exciting) social and religious functions and dinners planned for this year.

Individuals are needed for the following:

Decorate and set up tables and chairs as needed at both Church halls.

People to plan for and cook the meals events/

People to help clean up after the meals. If you can only partially be involved in this ministry, individuals are needed who are willing to cook a dish to pass, or a soup, or make a salad or perhaps bake cup cakes or cookies etc. on an as needed basis with advance notice of course. If you do not wish to attend meetings but would like to help cook that is also acceptable.

If you can help please notify the office right away.

Ministry of Mercy News

MINISTRY OF MERCY NEWS

The Ministry of Mercy is asking for your support for 2 local outreach ministries. A local woman makes baby blankets & scarves that are given to Helping Hands & EMPCC to distribute as needed and is in need of yarn. The Ugly Quilts ministry- organized by the Spring Hill UM women- is continually in need of the following:

       1.  Items to make the quilts: blankets, sheets, pillow cases, afghans, draperies, curtains, comforters, towels, fabric, mens ties, #8 crochet cotton, sewing thread, & 4 ply yarn

       2. Items to wrap inside of the quilts: gloves, hats, scarves, socks, mens clothing(T-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts & pants, underwear), toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, religious tracts, & toiletries( travel size from hotels). The items to make the quilts & the clothing can be new or used.

The Ugly Quilts crew works Monday mornings and could use some additional helpers both to make quilts and also to crochet/knit gloves, hats, scarves, & socks.

Raid your closets for above items and help these ministries help those in need. There will be a box in the church entrance for your donations. For more information call Jeannie at (570) 746-6145.
